About Free Onions

This is my third attempt at writing a blog. In 2020 I started writing a blog called The Skill Council. The idea behind the blog was to create a repository of deep, first hand domain specific insights from professionals who have worked in those domains for a significant amount of time, with a focus on uncommon jobs. Think Private Pilot. Think Offshore Engineer. I couldn’t get enough people to write for me, and the blog died a very early death. This was followed by attempts to build an office productivity app. That too did not succeed for reasons mentioned here.
I then wrote a comic blog called The Mangoville Chronicles which is still live, but not updated with new posts. Humor and outrageous plots are still very close to my heart, so I am trying to continue writing comics in this blog.
So what is Free Onions? Will you get free onions on this site? Or is this a site supporting the freedom struggle of onions? Neither. It is a misspelling of Free Opinions. Now nobody wants free opinions because they believe they have plenty of their own, and they would rather that I listen to theirs. But some people may want free onions, so they might be interested in this site. They won’t get any. They will get what they wanted to avoid – Free Opinions.
I intend to write more and more about technology, but this blog isn’t just about that. This blog is a window into my mind. I write film reviews, comics, comment on politics, economy and society, and of course provide a lot of unsolicited opinion. Sometimes I write just to put my thoughts in one place. I intend to write poems too. Thank you for your attention!
