The emotional curve of my mood before and after holidays looks like a Bell curve skewed to the right. The exuberance climbs rapidly as the holiday approaches, peaks when it starts and then slowly declines. The period that makes up the actual holiday is one full of positivity and new plans that will be executed once I am back. The reality, unfortunately is more humbling.
